!4mm or 24mm or?

I have read just about every thread and am now a bit confused.Your thoughts would be really helpful.

I am looking for a lens for Milky Way, Aurora and night landscapes.  I am also moving across from Canon EF to RF lenses so had considered the 15-35 f2.8. However, I have discounted this in favour of the 14-35 f4 purely for weight reasons. As I will be carrying it much of the time the weight difference matters.

My understanding is that f2.8 does not cut it and I will need f1.8 or f1.4 ideally.  What are your thoughts on 14mm or 24mm? It will sit on a full frame R5.

I see the Sigma 24 f1.4 ART lens (EF mount but I have an adapter) is not too expensive. Is this a decent lens? Is the Sigma 20mm Art any good? The Canon 24 l lens is very pricey.

I don’t want to go down the buying a lens and sending it back until I get a good one route….not so easy in the UK.

TIA
