Z 50mm 1.8 vs AFS 50mm 1.8 - anybody shot both?
1

Just wondering if anybody has an opinion from practical use. I've just started using Nikon along with my Fuji system. I'm blown away by the increase in dynamic range and high ISO. Also, the NEF files are very easy to 'massage', and skin tones look very natural.

I'm currently using the 50mm g on the FTZ adapter. I shoot it on 2.5, so images are quite sharp and crisp. I'm wondering if I get the Z 50mm - and shoot it on 1.8 (better blurry backgrounds), am I going to see a noticeable difference from my current kit. I only ever shoot people - so I always shoot wide open (but not on the 50mm g - it's a bit soft at 1.8). The Z lens is nearly $1,000 in Australia - so it is a bit of a commitment. Just wondering if those who have shot both have an opinion.

Cheers

Sutto
