If sound is your driving objective, the comment above

says a lot.  Neither camera is likely to give you good sound.  Is the recital with mikes and a sound board?  If so, can you get a tap from it to a sound recorder.  Or can you get them to record it to a thumb drive for you?  If not, can you borrow or rent a recorder and set it up to provide a recording for later splice in to your video.

Last resort?  Take both cameras, set the one up to just sit and record the sound, use the other for video.  That will eliminate any handling noise from the one taking video.

This all assumes you can do basic video processing with more than one input track.
