Let's compare pixels...
1

So my R5 is supposed to be here in 4 days (yes, I'm counting them 😀) and I got to thinking. For a LOT of my PP with my old 6D, I zoom in to 100%, on my 27" 4k screen. I can still remember 6 years ago, coming from my crop sensor 7D, that I was amazed at how clean images (the good ones anyway) from my 6D were !

Of course by now, it's not a big deal, and this is what I expect from a full frame camera.

But is it too much to hope.... Or should I say, not a fair comparison, to expect the images from my R5 to look exactly as good, if not a little better, than the images of my 20mp 6D ?

I'm mean, I'm positive if I back out a click or two, the images from the R5 are going to look way better.

But is it fair to compare the pixel quality of a 20mp camera to a 45mp camera, both at 100% ?

Photos are my paintings. The camera is my brush.
