GFX 50S and Lumedyne 400ws portable strobe

So, digging around in some old boxes in storage I came across my old Lumedyne equipment that I used several years ago on location assignments. I have a 400 ws unit and a mini-cycler, several heads and cables. I found a pair of pocket wizards Plus in there too. My question is about trigger voltage. Is it not a good idea to sync straight off the Lumedynes  to the pc terminal on the GFX? I think it is probably safe to use these Pocket wizards to trigger them if that is a bad idea, right? Just want a reality check as it's been a few years since I've used this set-up and I did like to plug direct to camera but I did it with Nikons, view cameras and Hasselblads. The Lumedynes were very useful for interior architectural work. Thanks.
