Northern Gannet Diving

These seabirds visit Long Island every winter enjoying our abundant fishery. They are usually about 1000 feet off shore yet occasionally come in closer providing opportunities to photograph them. There lovely coloring is subdued with a tan face and deep blue eye on an otherwise white body with black wing tips. I spent a few hours photographing them with all the reach I could muster and do flight photography by using a 1.4x TC with my X-T3 + Sigma 150-600 C via a Fringer Pro II Adapter.

-4 It was a treat to get two diving together

I'd like to get a photo of one cutting into the water, it's a hard shot due to the speed.

Comments and suggestions welcome,
