Epson ET3750 or similar EcoTank for monochrome prints?

Hi All,

I need a new A4 printer for general printing/scanning and occasional photo printing. My HP all in one has just started printing cyan as black and dumped a load of black ink inside, carpet stains etc.

I'm looking at the ET3750 or similar EcoTank. They seems cost effective but I've read that they use colour when printing monochrome photos so giving a colour cast.

Does anyone have experience on this?

Could it be that the reviewer didn't tick the grayscale box when printing and all Epson and Canon printers can achieve true monochrome.

Thanks in advance

Andy
