i was expecting to have the same field of view with the lens on the apsc camera as FF in apsc mode (24 x 1.5- >35mm) but it appears the apsc cam(zve10) is less with a smaller more zoomed in field of view at the same focal length..

i thought the field of view would have been the same for both, what am i missing?

The ZV-E10 has an additional crop while recording 30p video. Is that how you are using it?

Sony cameras in general don't have identical APS-C crops. For example the slightly smaller 20 MP sensor used in the A3000/A3100/A5000 has around a 1.55x crop factor. No Sony APS-C camera has a 1.50x crop factor. Most are around 1.53x. No Sony full-frame camera has a 24x36 mm sensor either.
