It may have but it is So different from 56mm F1.4 and F1.2

It is night and day difference. No offense intended.

There are some excellent examples of blur in the Flickr page I linked to. (Don't end a sentence with a preposition)

I'll be controversial and state that this lens is in a strange 'nether fish nor fowl' territory for me, just me personally.

F2 on APSC as I have seen in many reviews and comparison photos even at 50mm really doesn't compress backgrounds much and has very hard transitions and contrasty bokeh or out of focus areas.
