The YASHICA Y35 is not a film camera

Well yes, not a film per say, but with a digital film, it does have the limitations of a film camera, right? Well, that what I've seen in reviews, may be wrong as I do not own one.

Kinda feels like scanning pictures and trying to edit them.

I remember that my father bought one camera with digital film somewhere in the late 90s or early 00s, but I do not remember what model it was, for some reason I think it was a kodak... I really don't know, I was 7 or 8... anyway, I don't think he liked it, as he ran back to his zenit, luckily, somehow, the helios 44m-6 survived very well, sadly I do not have a clue about the camera body itself, it simply disappeared...

Just spotted this comment as I was looking at the comparison photos.

I think that the "digital film: camera you were thinking of was an APS type .

APS cameras recorded some data called Information Exchange. The amount of info increase in the better models including print N, type of film, aperture and shutter speed use, time and date. But there was no digital input at all in the image. It was just a film base with an extra magnetic layer for the data.

This one had an LCD that played back the last image taken so that you could record on the magnetic part of the film film if you wanted that printed or not but the digital image was not stored, the memory only held one photo and you could not print that .
