Novice tools for scanning/restoring old photos

Can you recommend easy/simple/single-click photo restoration automation tools?

A family member into genealogy wants something to help her clean up scanned photos printed between 1920 and 1990. Typical image issues.

Needs to be simple and intuitive. She'd pay $5-10/month, but I Photoshop and LR are too heavy for her. She's not looking to become an expert.

Scanner: HP 7110 all in one. Scanner specs are:

  • Optical Res: 1200 | 4800
  • Grayscale: 256/8-bit
  • Color: 48-bit

I'm not opposed to buying her a scanner under $200 for Christmas if that gets her into better features. Setup and use needs to be simple.

An option for her to send me images in a non-destructive format like PSD, Tiff would also be a bonus.  If she gets stuck on an image, I could work on it for her and share back... Behance??
