I live in England, which has a certain reputation for rain. Personally I would not base camera choice on weather resistance.

How often are you likely to actually be shooting in any level of drizzle?

Over my professional career , including a lot of video, I never had to cancel a shoot due to rain although none of my cameras were in any way weatherproofed. Since then the only time I have felt the need for serious waterproofing was the Song Kran festival in Bangkok where you can get buckets of water thrown at you.

For this set I left my 'weather sealed' X-T1 at home and used aP&S in a dive housing.
