Olympus 25mm f1.2

Disclaimer- This isn’t a technical analysis, but rather a purely subjective write up on a lens, that I have had fixed to my E-M1 III since day one.

The Olympus in the hand is a reassuring tool, everything feels solid and well thought out from the wide focus ring to the grooves closer to the mount end of the barrel. Nothing feels like it wasn’t design for a purpose. On feel and aesthetics, it looks the part.

One of the 25mm stand out qualities is it’s bokeh, which while often stealing the limelight, is a part of the overall package. The transition from in focus to oof is something special, the rendering is soft and organic, the autofocus is stunningly quick and accurate.

The Olympus stands out as an excellent lens, for anyone interested in the 50mm fov.
