Re: G7X II - Soft corners when shooting RAW

Difficult to offer any help without posting sample image with the EXIF Data.

Generally what I do is find a full sample image(s) from camera review that one can download and work with the same image I'm using.

Below are a sample JPG+RAW image I downloaded from the DPR G7X II Review's
"Canon G7 X Mark II Real-world Samples" HERE.

Sample JPG:

2. RAW image I opened with FastStone Image Viewer and save as JPG to have a "unedited" RAW image, You can see the amount cropping/ editing being done by the camera's JPG PP (post processing). Quite typical for all the compacts WA 24mm EFL) to telephoto lenses.

3. The RAW Sample I downloaded and did a 'quick' PP of the RAW image with Photoshop Elements 18; i.e., you should be able to get better results with LR.

I do not use LR so really cannot provide much help troubleshooting your problems.

If no one in this forum can help, would recommend posting sample image(s) and questions in the DPR "Retouching" forum HERE.
