New Venue, New Photo Approach

After forty-three years of hosting Thanksgiving at our house, we’re joining our daughter’s family and close friends at hers. Our responsibilities are three different flavors of pies, baked by my wife today.

Every year since the late seventies I’ve set my camera and widest angle lens on a tripod and done a self-timed photo of us all at the table. Color prints by mail then followed. With the change of venue I’m being requested to rather take group shots of families this year. I suggested just using my phone and air dropping to everyone else’s phones after the meal. That is going over like a lead balloon with my Missus, but all the younger ones will love it! “For the times, they are a-changin’.”
