Hey OP, hope you're still around. I have this lens and took it out for a spin the other day. Here are some sample images with commentary in the photo captions. (X-T1, SOOC jpeg, Astia, +1 color and -1 highlight)

Closeup performance wide open is fairly solid.
The slightly-defocused bokeh zone can get a little ugly sometimes. The leaves look pretty messy.
In bright conditions it can make nice pastel tones.
Wide open.

Wide open...
.....and stopped down

Wide open. You can see a bit of swirly bokeh here.
And stopped down. There's only a mm or two on the aperture ring between f8 and f22 so the actual aperture is a bit...vague. In terms of detail on the sign, it's not a huge difference between the two.
Some more swirlies.

Another wide open....
Vs stopped down. Somewhere between f8 and f22.

Overall, I think it's kind of a love-hate lens. Mine has never been able to match the sharpness of my 16-50 XC but it definitely has its own character. If you treat it like a vintage lens you'll be much happier. If you pixel peep you won't be pleased.
Bokeh is definitely swirly under certain circumstances, and there's a bit of an ugly zone as it transitions out of its depth of field. Something else I've noticed is it can be very particular about focus. When relying on focus peaking, I often end up with mush. It works much better with just unassisted magnification. It also has a tendency for WB shifts as you stop down but I think that could just as easily be a quirk on the camera's end. As with a lot of similar lenses it's better at close-medium range and the performance at infinity can be lacking. In addition (subtraction?), its flare performance is.....interesting. But that may please some people and it has potential for creative use.

This image got a little bit of post. It takes sharpening pretty well.
For how cheap they are, I think it's hard to go wrong. Mine was practically a free accessory included with some extension tubes I wanted. It's a nice size for keeping on the camera and it can still slip into a pocket. On paper it's a bit rubbish but I find myself reaching for it frequently anyway. I don't have any personal experience with it, but if you're looking for a little something more the 7artisans 35 1.2 might be a better buy.
I'll wrap up with a few other images from the lens. Feel free to ask any questions.
