Should you want to improve the M50's grip and add an ArcaStyle (L-)plate as a bonus, I can highly recommend the 'wooden gripped' SmallRig one:

Gives just that much more grip and adds some length for the pinky. The L-part is easily detachable (one screw underneath). As it hampers the use of the screen a bit, mine resides with my tripod for when I need it.

Interesting!

Canon spends millions designing the camera to be as small and light as possible, and some folks want to make it bigger again!  Too funny.
