Manual focus

I suppose it might be stiction. How does it feel if you switch into manual focus and turn the ring to change focus?

I just tried manual focus and works as expected. This is actually the first time I paid attention to the lens in manual focus. I’m amazed that it is focus by wire. When I turn off, the camera lens retracts fully and quickly.

Also remember that the lens retracts perfectly in one shot af mode too. It’s just in servo af and focus was “locked” onto a subject where it fails to retract fully. It doesn’t make sense that it works fine in one shot mode but not servo.

As an aside, I just noticed that even when the camera is off, switching the af/mf switch will wake up the lens momentarily.
