A question: is your bttery fully charged?

I just gave Canon a call. The tech tried with the Canon R (someone had already checked out the RP) and was able to reproduce the problem with the 35mm. I asked if he could try a 50mm f1.8, but he didn't see it happening with that lens.

He said he would send in the bug for a firmware update. Who knows if anything will happen.

I just tried here again, and I can consistently get it to not retract. But just tapping the shutter button before shutting off the camera will always retract the lens.

The battery is fully charged.
