Re: 7D Mark ii to EOS R? - or real upgrade

Hello,
Recently I have been seriously considering buying the EOS R as an upgrade from my 7D Mark ii. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to truly understanding the different specs. From what I can understand the EOS R is a good bit better than the 7D Mark ii I have and use. So I'm here looking for advice.
Situation-
I recently started my side photography business. I am most likely going to do primarily portraits (Senior Pictures and Families) along with some product photography (friends with small businesses of there own). I also love just doing landscape and street photography as purely a hobby. Business isn't booming by any means but my full time job allows me to have a little extra cash for nicer gear if I can decide if it is worth upgrading.
Two of the main features, besides the better Mega Pixel count, that really draws me to the EOS R is the tilting screen and the fact that with a mirrorless I can pretty much see how the picture will look before I take the picture.
Another concern is that I already have a few EF lens. They are a mix of Canon and Tamron. I believe from what I've already read that the Tamron lens will work with the adaptor.
I know the R5 and R6 are out there but unless I really start to ramp up the business, I can't see any reason to make that price jump.
Any help I can get with my personal dilemma would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time in advance!
I have owned 7D (sold it some years ago ) and some other Canon cameras starting from 40D and i still have 5DMkIV (before it 6D) . I have upgraded a couple of times
I bought R6 some 6 months ago - i really like it!
If you want a serious real upgrade , that is not so extremely expensive you should consider R6 - it has so much better focusing systems and IBIS.
R is a nice FF camera, but is it a real upgrade from 7DMkII ?
