Re: 7D Mark ii to EOS R?

Hello,
Recently I have been seriously considering buying the EOS R as an upgrade from my 7D Mark ii. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to truly understanding the different specs. From what I can understand the EOS R is a good bit better than the 7D Mark ii I have and use. So I'm here looking for advice.
The focusing ability of the R will make the old EF lenses more effective with higher keeper rates. The eye AF mode of the EOS R will speed up your portrait shoots, I hear. Seems like a good deal.
The R is also a cheap way to get access to the sensor from the 5DmkIV. I like the sensor a lot. The R5 seems like a good camera to get/upgrade to when supply chains return to normal and it can be had on sale.
