How to repair Canon lens at home

Hi Everyone,

i have a canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 II lens which is unstuck. Nothing seems to be broken. It was sitting in my camera bag for a really long time and when i came to pick it up was in two separate pieces as seen in the photograph.

Is there anyway to reattach it without having to send it to a repair shop?  I know at the end of the day, it would really be better to just purchase a new one rather than repair it, but if there is any hope that i could deal with this at home, I'd really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks.

Abigail
