My problem with this is the incredible number of people who comment on dpr announcements of cameras to be released three months later which list that model among the cameras they own.
Perhaps many of them pre-ordered the camera already? Or wanted to express their intentions (ala an engagement ring)?
I'm sure it's more like my temptation (that lasted five seconds) to use "sent from my iPhone 16" as my email signature.
LOL, that’s the very first thing I eliminated!
At least having an (accurate) gear list helps when replying to a post here! Though I do think some people might hide behind not having one.
It is kinda hard to have an accurate gear list when much of the gear you own, and use, is not available in the DPReview database.
True. I only list the most relevant gear (my main bodies). I figure it helps folks out when I'm either asking (or answering) posts here.

My first, and main, DSLR was a Kodak DCS-460c. Not in the database. For a few years, my EOS M2 saw more use than my 70D or 5D II. Again, not in the database.
Lenses are an even bigger mess. I just noticed a DPReview feed on the right side of my screen announcing the new Samyang 12mm f/2.0 AF lens for Fuji mount. DPReview wrote an entire news piece for the lens, but did not bother to add it to the database. The Sony version launched a year earlier is also missing. Viltrox, as a company, is completely missing. I could understand ignoring the multitude of cheap Chinese manual focus primes, but ignoring AF lenses seems like a gross oversight.
It feels like the gear list is more of a tool for Amazon to use for targeted marketing than any attempt to accurately reflect what is in a photographer's closet.
[Edit: I wrote the above before seeing that you don’t have one. No offense intended ]
This whole website is a tool for Amazon to use for targeted marketing ?
It keeps showing me Spectrum Mobile ads though.
It really should be showing me Fuji ads. I have been looking at Fuji stuff and the Fuji forum.
( did I use the F word enough to see a Fuji ad ? Do they show Fuji ads ? )
I was also looking at F for a while, then I decided not to go there
I need to be patient and await future releases
Me too. I am spoiled by that 33MP sensor.
Closely watching the sales. Got this deal last year.
That was an incredible deal!
I got mine about two years ago for $850. And then I paid only $899 for my RF 24-105 F4L. I shoot group shots with this combo with my 60 inch umbrella and two 550's inside the umbrella with my odin trigger. Best group shot combo I've ever had.

Nice !
To get back off topic, how did he do this ?
I have a very popular at my house anyway Canon M6II with a 33MP sensor and Gigapixel.
