Re: Availability of 27mm f/2.8 WR?

When the 50 f2 was released, I tried B&H. They didn’t have it in stock. I asked for a notice when it was in stock. I got an Email about a month later. I called when I picked up the Email a few hours after the time on the Email and the had already sold out! About a month later I got another Email alert that they had stock. I called and tried to order it in black. They were out of black which is why mine is silver since they hat two silver models left.
After that point I started checking Amazon.com for lens orders. My last three lenses were out at B&H but I found them at Amazon. I would rather buy camera equipment at B&H but I think Amazon swings a bigger hammer when it comes to getting stock.
In the past several years I have been buying all my gear used and about six or seven weeks ago I decided to sell my two non-Fuji lenses and add the 23mm f2 R WR and 50mm f2 R WR to go along with my 16mm f2.8 R WR. I was able to find mint copies of both from Japan, at excellent prices. Now I'm stalking two copies of the 35mm f2 R WR on eBay. I don't need the 35mm and probably won't use it much, but is kind of like finishing a page in a stamp album; those empty spots just drive me nuts. The 23mm and 50mm were both hard to find in mint condition and at a good price, but it seems that the 35mm f2 R WR lenses are in abundance on eBay, which makes me wonder if I should actually buy one; seems a lot of people may have had buyers remorse. I'm sure that six months from now, 27mm f2.8 R WRs will start showing up and the hunt will begin again.
