Sigma 18-35 & m6ii - no autofocus?
1

I just received the fabled Sigma 18-35 1.8 for use with my m6 mark II. (I have the Vello EF-EFM adapter.) When I connect the lens, the camera reports manual focus and the aperture is f00. Both the AF/MF switches on the camera and lens are set to AF. (The only other time I’ve seen this was when I plugged my camera into a telescope.)

Is there some magic incantation I need to utter to the photography gods? Or do I have a dud?

I regularly use this adapter with Tamron 24-70 and 70-200 2.8 G2s and Canon’s EFS 18-135 USM, 55-250 IS STM and the EF 50 1.4.

Thanks,

John
