Now not even be biased why did the M-Mount not get the new sigma lens. Sony makes some great aps-c camera but none of them outsell the M50. The R mount is highly guarded I get that but canon really aren't introducing a lot of glass for the M-mount let somebody do it.

I don't know how true this is, but I've heard that Sigma does production runs in one mount before moving to the next. So they may make a bunch for Sony E-Mount and then produce some for EF-M. That's what I'm hoping anyway. I do believe that they released the Sigma trio of primes for Canon after Sony, so there is some precedence for that. However, if that does happen, it could still be a couple years before we get it.

A big +1

Don’t count out an EF-M version just yet! It’s going to be hugely useful even without stabilization (I’ve shot with that range for years). I’m buying on announcement!

if they do it, it will be hard to resist

Not for me. I really do need 15mm. The number of times I've bought standard zooms that don't cover 24mm FFE and then not used them enough to justify it isn't funny, so I think this time, I've learned my lesson. But it looks so good....

to make it small they did that I guess

I agree on the 24 mm. 24 mm is essential for me. And IS would be nice. This is why I have the RP + RF 24-105 F4 IS. So for me it would be easier to resist because my RP setup is relatively small with such great IQ at 24 mm. An M5II with IBIS might get me there. But Canon doesn't seem interested in this m mount which is further reason to pause. Unfortunate, because small is where it will be at down the road. I guess if they put a new FF sensor in the RP that is as good as the M6II sensor, but a FF version, and they gave the RP all the speed elements of the M6II, and they gave it a great e-shutter implementation, all for $850, then I'd probably use the FF more.

I don't think it's the mount that bores Canon so much as the format. EOS M has got a workable range of slow, small zooms, a smattering of fast small primes and pretty well native access to EF for fast teles and specialist lenses. Job done for Canon, they have been making it obvious from the start that they see EOS M as a small system for non-enthusiasts and for people wanting a small complement to their FF cameras.

where did they say "non-enthusiasts"?

Watch some of Canon's promotional videos for various products in the series. The videos predominantly show the cameras in use by young women with recurring themes around style, ease of use, selfies, social media, and upgrading from a smartphone. You won't find any videos even remotely suggesting the use of the M system for paid work.

1) Bait, and switch....

We were not talking about "Pro use" or "non-pro use". We were talking about enthusiasts/non-enthusiasts and for people wanting a small complement to their FF cameras.

The below Canon Promotion Video is the epitome  of "Marketing to Enthusiasts" and "Advanced Users"

Canon EOS M6 Mark II promotional video appears to have leaked | Canon Rumors - Your best source for Canon rumors, leaks and gossip

2)  Since you switched subjects to the "Pro Use Topic", how many camera companies are going to market their $849 cameras with single slots for pro use, when they earn thousands more for their cameras targeting the pro audience?

3)  One would have to look at pro reviewers to see if "Pro Use" is indicated.  Below is Bryan's comments (The digital picture site) on the M32 F1.4:

"This tiny, lightweight little lens has a great general-purpose focal length, an ultra-wide aperture, impressive image quality (including at f/1.4) and a very reasonable price. This lens is reason alone to buy an EOS M-series camera just to use it on."  ---this is my use--

"Whether you are a guest or the primary photographer, this is a great lens to have at a wedding."  ---it is like having a range finder on your belt

"The 32mm APS-C focal length works especially well for still and video capture of fashion, portraiture, weddings, documentaries, the street, lifestyle, sports, architecture, landscape, and around-the-home activities along with general studio photography applications including product photography. As you likely noted, a number of good applications for this lens include people as subjects."

"I even photographed a church assignment using it."

"It always helps to compare a lens against one of the best to know how well it really performs. The Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM Lens vs. Canon EF 200mm f/2L IS USM Lens comparison is quite revealing. In that comparison link, I selected f/1.4 for the 32mm lens and stopped the impressive-performing 200mm L lens down to f/4 to illustrate how good the 32mm lens really is. I see a slight contrast difference in this comparison, but there is little resolution difference and both lenses equalized at f/4 shows the EF-M 32mm f/1.4 lens performing similarly to a lens costing over 12 times more."

"Summary

"Take a great general-purpose focal length, pack it into a well-built, compact package, deliver impressive image quality, sell it at a relatively low price point and you have a winning combination. That succinctly sums up the Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM Lens. This is a very impressive piece of kit even without the tiny size, light weight and low-price factored in."

"It is worth buying an also-impressive and affordable little EOS M-series camera just to use this lens with. For a simple kit, it may be the only camera and lens needed and even professionals may find this combo a great backup option."

4) I found the M6II to be my second camera in a recent shoot where I had three cameras -- the 6d was with me but not used.  The RP was #1 and the M6II was #2 cameras used.  The M6II + 100L delivered remarkable images at 160 mm FOV with image stabilization and 33 MPXL on the M6II.  Great glass on a great sensor matters.
