Lumix 45-175 with Canon 500d close up lens

I would like to improve my 'shoot through' type of long lens flower photos (with more pleasing blur). This lens somehow does not produce tack sharp images with extension tubes (at least for me). (my Olympus 60 mm macro works properly with the same tubes) I have the raynox 250 and 202 but these are too strong. I feel even the Raynox 150 would be too much. The Canon is only 2 diopter, I just don't know how big objects (flower and some background) would fill the frame at about 135-175mm. Could you please help if you have any experience?

Or would it be better to use a legacy 135mm 2.8-3.5 m42 lens with tubes instead? (in my country it would be about the same budget around 80 usd) I wouldn't like to spend more on this.

Thanks in advance.
