I went to Niagara Falls yesterday and went on the maid of the mist boat ride. I have a black pro mist filter on at all times and even with the heavy mist and splashes of water, my X100V took it like a champ with no issues. After getting back on dry land and walking around, I noticed the inside of the filter was fogging up. I took it off and dried it then put it back on.

I think it’s hard to blame Fuji when you didn’t use the filter Fuji stated to use… but even then, it’s not a waterproof camera.

OP already use "black pro mist filter" (suspect not original Fujifilm filter).

Are Fujifilm original X100 filter provide better sealing? Are X100 filter has extra rubber ring for sealing?

Maybe, but Fuji’s warranty and claims are certainly based on this particular filter made for the X100V! I mean isn’t obvious that this filter didn’t seal the camera since the filter started fogging up?

FYI: fogging doesn't necessarily mean the camera isn't sealed. My GoPro is very reliably waterproof but it is not immune to fogging.

True, when I lived in Florida basically taking your camera outside from an inside ac meant some fogging for a bit.

Sure, that is true, but the OPs camera is still dead.
