I am looking at getting a first gen x100 thats for sale locally. What are everyones thoughts on it?

I have owned every X100 series model except the X100V, which I have no interest in.

The original X100 is a fine camera, simple film-camera-like control layout, small size, excellent 23mm lens, and I found the 12mp sensor more than adequate. If you get the original X100, get at least one extra NP-95 battery, maybe two depending on how you shoot. Negatives would be the Bayer sensor with an A/A filter that slightly lessens sharpness, the 23mm lens is noted to be soft at f2 if you shoot very close, and AF can be slow and difficult at times.

Right now, I have two X100S models which to me are the best of the bunch overall. The X100S has the identical body and control layout as the original X100. If Fuji didn't put an S on the front, you cold not tell them apart. But the X100S fixes just about all of the negatives on the original X100, plus it comes with the second generation X-Trans 16mp sensor and a faster processor. After the X100S, the Fuji design elves just kept adding more and more stuff which I didn't need for photos.

Here are some photos from the original X100
