Apart from long exposure photography it also benefits from far lower noise than base 100 iso images for still life photography. I cannot determine how many shots are taken for each iso, but it increases the lower you go. This could be done in post on any camera, but it is nice to have in camera.

Yes I noticed that ISO 50 shoots quickly compared to ISO 6.

It would be nice to know how many shots the camera takes at each of these extended low ISO settings.

Finally, how would you do this in post if using another camera?

Affinity Photo makes it very easy. Use the New Stack option in the File menu.

It can even align the images if you shoot a burst hand held.

So I would take a burst of ten or more images at ISO 160 (lowest available ISO in Fuji X current generation cameras), then stack all of them to get an image equivalent to ISO 6?

Yup.

Try it.

How much does Affinity Photo cost?

About 50 UK pounds at present, including VAT.

$54.99 on the Affinity website, with a free trial option too. Maybe I'll try it.
