Long lenses - portability?

I'm thinking about buying a longer lens than I have now.  Christmas present to myself.  First use case is photographing New Forest wildlife, such as ponies and deer, from a distance than doesn't disturb them.  For this I will be pottering around and won't be using a tripod.  Second use case is taking pictures of the resident peregrine falcons at Salisbury cathedral, when I'm on the ground and they are 200-220 feet up, camera on a tripod.  I might also try a bit of BIF (so far dismal failure, my fault).

Camera is my X-H1.  Leaving aside the difference in cost for a moment (!)  I'm looking at

"Fuji1": XF100-400 possibly with 1.4TC

"Fuji2": XF70-300 with 1.4TC

"The Morris": sigma 150-600 + adapter

I'm kind of leaning towards Fuji1, especially if I can find a good used or (preferably) Fuji refurbished one, but what's the portability like on walkabout?  Fuji2 looks easy portable, but is it going to be long enough?  The "Morris"????

and Yes, I will be visiting the local camera store to try but would like others' opinions.

If at first you do succeed, try not to look surprised.
