1. I've disabled Continuous AF, again. Although Canon's implementation of it has improved over the years, I'm finding it's still causing some lost shots, which do not equal out for the slight advantage it gives you in terms of pre-focus AF the rest of the time.

I disabled too

2. I've also switched back to C-RAW. On the M50/M50 Mark II in particular, 10 shots of C-RAW is a big deal vs 8 shots of RAW. As previously discussed, apparently there is some small penalty in DLO efficiency, however DLO itself is a minor improvement in image quality, the tradeoff in this case makes sense for most use cases of continuous drive.

I'm RAW all the way -- with DXO PL5 configured to Canon colors -- and no auto processing -- but advanced user selection for tweaks

More testing needed to confirm both are the better choice, but thus far, I'm leaning those directions.

DLO was a nice tweak -- but DXO PL5 overpowers DPP

My "bad" copy of the 22 went back to BestBuy. Good riddance. When you get a bad copy, it really can sour the punch. The 22 pancake is what originally sold me on the M system, and if I were to judge the M system by the copy I just returned? All I can say is I know better from the other 3 copies I've had before that's not the norm.

Glad to hear you sent back

Instead of 22, get 32 as the first prime

Truth told the last copy of the 15-45 I had with the M6 Mark II kit soured the punch too. Okay copies of lenses are fine. Good copies are awesome. But bad copies? It's as the old proverb says, it only takes a dead fly to ruin good ointment. Bad copies of good lenses can leave a bad taste in one's mouth.

R2 told you you had a bad one back then -- glad you have a good one now.

m6II/M50II is really good light weight stuff with the right glass. You are back on track with light weight shooting. A big part is how you feel about the gear. Keep letting us know with pics!

I need to get my more powerful MacBook back into production. 8 cores makes a big difference vs 4 in DPP4. Takes literally twice as long to cull and edit on my old MacBook.
