We have a few Regal monostands that have a counterweight on the inside. 1 or 2 of them are very loud when raising or lowering. They shreik. I think their is a lube or grease for it. Does anyone know how to correctly fix it? Thanks.

I use this lubricant product on all our camera stands, tripods, and light stands WD-40 Specialist. Here is a link to the product description:

WD-40 Specialist Spray & Stay Gel Lubricant No-Drip Formula (wd40.ca)

Apply the lubricant to the interior of the center shat of your stand and to any counterweight inside that shaft. On the interior, you can spray it on generously.  On the outside of the column, apply it and rub it in to remove any excess material. Apply the lubricant to all wheels and the locking mechanism on the outrigger arm.  Somewhere in your stand, there is metal rubbing against metal with no lubruxation- that stuff should fix that.
