Olympus rebranding event disappointment

How many of you were expecting a firmware upgrade announcement at the event? I was not really expecting too many details to be revealed about the new camera due to the pandemic effect on supply chains. But I was hoping OMDS would make a statement by releasing firmware updates for EM1X and EM1.3.

Lack of meaningful firmware updates to EM1X are inexcusable. People like me bought the EM1X right after launch will be really disappointed. Not only did OMDS drop the price by 50%, they also didn't support the product with regular firmware updates. I was expecting the Starry-sky AF to be added. Compare that to Panasonic which used their event yesterday to release firmware updates https://www.panasonic.com/global/consumer/lumix/gh5_firmware.html#https://www.panasonic.com/global/consumer/lumix/gh5_firmware.html#

You expect a company to treat the buyers of their flagship camera better.
