Fujifilm XF 2.0/50mm Ideal Landscape Lens ?

The 50mm on APS-C is normally not really considered as a landscape focal lenght. But it is quite useful when the normal wide angle shots are not the solution, because of leaving the background "back" tiny.

If one want to show landscape details, this exceptional small tele lens comes in handy. The good microcontrast helps to enhance sharpness even in the air softened background and this short tele does not compress to much. I think its better for landscapes and close-ups than for portraits. What do you think? Here are some examples :
