Fast little beach runners
12

I believe these are sanderling species of the sandpipers. Tiny fast running beach critters that is hard to track, for me, it is as hard as tracking bird in flight. The reason is because the bird is so small that you can't use zone focus to precisely target its eye; I had to switch to small single focus point. Believe me, trying to chase these little runners with single small focus point would result a bunch of hits and misses. No wonder Audubon uses the term "legs flying" to describe this species.
