Fiery Fall Colors

Fall came relatively late this year despite the rather cool temperatures all throughout this year. But now things look really nice. To see the entire series please go here. There's also a slideshow option available there.

Nature start to show more and more fall colors.

The flowers are all gone by this time.

These were still rather green three days ago but now they "caught fire".

The morning light really helps to capture these shots. Since we still have DST here, the time for the sun is actually one hour earlier than displayed in the exif.

Air temperature is only a little above the freezing point, but in the sun it's very nice and warm.

The larches literally radiate in the sunlight.

The very clean air up here probably also helps to make the colors vibrant.

My beloved valley! This composition looks very good in all seasons

Thanks for looking. As always comments are most welcome.

Again, to see the entire series please go here. About a third of the shots there were taken with the GRIII, the rest with my FF camera. The GRIII images actually keep up to the FF photos very well.

Best wishes from the mountains,
