R6 and IS on adapted EF lenses

My trusted 24-105L IS is my walk around lens on my new R6 (with adapter of course). Now I noticed that the lens (with IS switch set to ON) seems to be stabilizing after I half press the shutter which is what you expect. But it does not stop for at least 15 seconds, and then still creates some humming sound after.

On my 5D4 the lens stabilizer sound stops right after I let go on the shutter.

Is there any setting or switch that prevents this irritating sound ?

Is it advisable to use the lens IS at all when R6 IBIS is engaged all the time ?
