Hardware calibrated monitor help (BenQ SW270C)

Hi, I'm having some difficulties in using my new hardware calibrated monitor.

I'm using Lightroom Classic on a Windows 10 PC.

The way I understood I should be working:

1. Calibrate the monitor with native gamut using monitor's software.

2. The generated icm file (which is loaded into monitor's hardware)  will be automatically configured into Windows settings as well.

3. Edit picture in Lightroom as I want (remember: monitor is calibrated with native gamut).

4. Soft proof and generate a preview simulating desired output by loading lab's icm file or a generic sRGB icm file, depending if I want to print or simply export for the web.

5. Export embedding the chosen profile.

Is this correct?

I have a couple more questions but I first need to understand if the above is correct.
