More birds with the 70-300 & 2xTC

The more I use the 2xTC the more confused I get. Its definitely a different "monster" than the 1.4xTC, but am not sure yet that is worse. It needs different handling like higher ss speed and maybe more SAF than CAF (SAF is faster), but on the other hand 800mm in APSC are impressive for some occasions.

One thing I am pretty sure now is that 800mm are a significant difference from 600mm, making the 100-400 with the 1.4x more attractive now. Here are some more samples from the weekend:

Its impressive how good is the high ISO performance of the Fuji sensor. Of course what you see here after the Topaz pp but even without if you don't zoom or crop heavily image at ISO12800 remains pretty usable.

Edited with DXO5 rather than LR and Topaz. For some reason, no matter the camera (P950 or Fuji) I always get better results with the DXO for moon shots
