'Spot' inside my Zeiss - new lens or try to get fixed?

After about 6 great years with my 16-70 f4 Zeiss lens (on an A6300 right now), have realised there is a bit of 'fog' or something inside the lens, which is causing a not-tiny black splotch in all photos. I can kind of correct for it in Lightroom, but for certain situations it's obviously a flaw. On a 6x4 it would be easily visible.

I also live on an island, so would have to send the lens away somewhere to get it repaired. Not sure on the cost of that.

Given all that, if you were me and you need that coverage (my other lenses are primes or superzoom) would you be looking to get it repaired, or view it as a sign that it's time to get the newer 18-135mm for example to replace it?
