Few small birds EM1 mkii + 300mm f4 + TC's

Emptying the SD card from the weekend. Had a few opportunities to get close to a bunch of small birds that reside in the local forests.

Crested tit. Shooting distance was perhaps 2m so the DOF with 420mm is rather shallow. SS also dropped to 1/25s as the light was starting to get quite dim, so not quite as sharp as the lens can do. I'm still impressed how well the Sync IS works though.

Coal tit in its usual habitat. Very twitchy little guys.

Blue tits are everywhere and they are not particularly shy. Shot on a close distance, thus the very shallow DOF especially apparent as the bird took a ball shape.

Willow tit, seeing less of them these days. Apparently the forest industry destroying many of the old forests in Finland is making life difficult for them.
