I'm curious how long it takes to dress all those birds?

Maybe a minute each. I've done it once or twice and have a VERY sharp knife.

That's INCREDIBLE!

Thanks! I had it built years ago by a well-known custom knife maker. It has processed probably thousands of birds, countless deer, opened many packages, etc.

The core of the blade is super-hard carbon steel that really takes and holds an edge (the key to processing birds, deer, etc quickly and easily without cutting yourself). There is hand-wrought Damascus steel for appearance on both sides of the blade.

The scales (handles) are mammoth ivory from an ancient animal found frozen in the artic. The body is stainless steel.

When my kids were young, they called the knife "Tooth", because I always carry it and use it for all sorts of little things.

That's sort of the epitome of the "I don't have the money to waste on cheap" mantra. Also goes well with That's a knife."'>"That's a knife." Though the movie thing looks embarrassingly like straight out the prop store in comparison.
