Processing learning curve

Took this pic of what I think is a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk in 2019. This is the basic photo.

Cropped the original to look like this: kept the shadow in and the closer look gave more of an idea of movement.

That was 2019, I liked the results. Since then Luminar AI and Topaz DeNoise have been added to my computer and today I did a look back and decided to see what might be.

The next photo is the result and I wasn't very happy with it. The bird is harsh looking and the grass! Yuck, looks like some plastic pro football turf. Ugh.

So I went back to the original, didn't do much at all beyond a little Luminar (I really can't recall what was adjusted) and DeNoise clear applied. This is the result.

The grass looks like grass and the bird isn't as harsh looking. The feathers...look like feathers.

Opinions, please. Anything you like/dislike or would do different?
