Is it safe to say Sigma lenses aren't coming to Fuji?

It's been a year now since vague comments from Sigma gave people optimism that they were working on bringing their prime trio to Fuji. Given the news that Fuji had apparently made their protocols available to third parties, this would have been the quickest and cheapest way for Sigma to test the waters in the Fuji ecosystem.

Well, that didn't happen.

With the news yesterday that Sigma's latest reveal is yet another mid range zoom for Sony, it's pretty apparent that they just don't see a viable opportunity to sell XF lenses.

What are your thoughts? Do you think that Sigma is working on XF lenses, and either way, do you particularly care? There is some incredible APS-C glass availalable for Fuji but in my opinion, choice and competition can never be a bad thing.
