Re: The Desert Southwest adventures

AWG_Pics,

That sounds like a great adventure. I just got back from 4 days in Mojave National Preserve, CA. I was exploring the foothills around New York Mountains and Keystone Canyon. I camped at 5500 feet and hiked into the woods and springs of those mountains. Carried my D800E and a couple of lenses, looking for bighorn sheep, butterflies and water sources that might attract animals in that high desert environment.

I explored the Anza Borrego Desert State Park two weeks ago. Drove a rugged road into Upper Coyote Canyon, an area I hadn't been to before. We camped at 3000 feet and hiked up into the remote canyons looking for bighorn sheep and found lots of lizards.
