24-70 2.8 and 50 1.8?

I'm taking my time before splashing out on more Z lenses. I have the 24-70 F4 and 40mm, these will be my main travel lenses - the 24-70 F4 came very cost-effectively as a kit lens so I don't feel too bad about possibly getting the 24-70 2.8 as well.

I'm also drawn to the 50mm 1.8...I can either go with primes to complement my kit zoom or go with 2.8 zooms.

I am wondering whether those with both the 24 70 2.8 and 50mm 1.8 find the 50mm useful? It seems a lot like doubling up unless that extra stop is vital. I suppose part of me likes primes mostly due to my carrying around one FL in my head at a time, but maybe I should get over that.

I could go 14-24 and 24-70 2.8

or

20mm 1.8, 50mm 1.8, 14-30 F4

Then there's 85 or 105 but that's a separate decision.

The sensible part of me says just go with both F4 lenses, the rest is GAS...which is partly true but not the whole story, and anyway, I've spent too much of life being sensible.
