Just carry it around for a while.  No need to take any pictures.  Eventually something will catch your eye, or your mood will be just right, or whatever.

In fact it might go better if you decide not to take any pictures.  Then your mind might rebel, and get creative.

I have avoided fixed focal length cameras, because I soon felt constricted by that fixed focal length.  So I bought some cameras and some different lenses.  After I could change lenses at will, I stopped changing lenses.  And the same sort of "lack of desire to take pictures" set in.

It's a psychological thing.

I took a casual street shot the other day and it has stimulated my appetite for doing some more street shooting.  But the shot I got the other day was so very good....
