^ this makes your decision worth everything!

In other news, the M50 Mark II + 15-45 did Charleston, charming place (again; last time was with Golaith aka EOS R + RF 28-70 f/2L) Battery life held up fine.

^ Golaith will stay at home

The 22 pancake didn't see much action. I think I may have a bad copy, I haven't been posting shots of it due to it's poor performance, even with DLO application. I was quite impressed with the 22 on my former M6 Mark II. Dunno if it's the M6 Mark II is a better platform for it (it is IMO), or what if it's a poor copy or what the deal is. It's probably going back but I'm not in any rush.

^ not 22, you got 22 on 15-45.....

32,32,32,32.....for the f1.4 for some shots when out and about since Golaith is at home

For as much as I harped on Canon when they did the firmware-only upgrade of the M50 Mark II, I'm beginning to agree with them; having excellent autofocus (and advanced metering) is important. And the form factor of the M50 is just right. And for the target audience's budget etc, it's a win all around. Sometimes it's easy to overlook the obvious that the original M50 is a solid camera and anything added to it is icing on the cake.

for only $900 with those two lens and firmware update and internal viewfinder -- it was a steal imo

Apologies for lack of samples from Charleston, I just opened DPP4 on my older MacBook that I'm typing it on, it's just no match unless I have patience which I don't have the time this morning. My newer MacBook is bricked; courtesy of Apple's EFI/OS concurrence. That's a VERY technical discussion regarding how Apple protects things with Netboot / signature trusts / EFI. It peeves me though as Apple essentially locked the door and threw away the key as they don't want you running older OSes (Mojave). Anyhow, more samples later I guess.

SOOC, Small JPEG. These could use some love when my main computer is back online; default NR, really can wash out colors at non-base ISO. Post-processing is always better in terms of ultimate image quality.

colors look very natural and good in these two

sharpness looks good

your 15-45 looks good on the m50II -- I don't see as much distortion as I saw on your g1x3 -- maybe no need for 11-22 with a 15-45 that good

instead maybe look at laowa 9 mm for more dramatic city scapes

inspired by small - makes one want and happy to shoot on the fly without disrupting parenting -- how one feels about their gear is critical to taking good shots - looks like you are on your way with m50II

Actually the 11-22 is the only one tracking; the 32 although capable, I’m finding when going on outings, 2-lens max carry. Be it the 22/15-45 or 15-45/55-200. The 22 has become the proverbial 3rd wheel or whatever the saying is for being left out. I could see a 11-22 + 32 being an excellent combo, but, the wife usage factor comes into play. She’s figuring out the M50 “beats” her iPhone. That 15-45 stays for some time.

Goliath still sees plenty of use btw, but I’m prioritizing the M50 for testing purposes as I’m feeling things out. New toys are toys after-all too. It’s nice to have reach (telephoto) again.

those three - 2-lens combos sound right

wife usage factor is important

sounds like both of you are enjoying  - keep posting pics
