I want to start capturing photos and videos in 3D, mostly of places and people in my life for documentation and later view. There is abundance of photos and video clips from cameras and phones, but good quality 3D imaging brings a new dimension and new experience that I would like to capture.

My questions are:

  1. What equipment are people using these days for capturing (a) good quality 3D photograps, and (b) good quality 3D videos?
I have already Fujifilm interchangable lens cameras and perhaps there are some split view lens assemblies? Or some other available equpiment that would be reasonably portable and deliver good quality? Fujifilm W3 or something similar?
  2. What means are people using to view the 3D photos and videos?
I have already a 2013 Samsung TV with 3D glasses? Would this work or are there good alternatives?

All suggestions are welcome, thanks.

I use two sony RX0 II pair. It does great 3D photos easily. For videos, it need to be pair and trigger with the phone apps. It much better than the Fujifilm W3 which I had and also beam splitter.

ii) For convenience. I just use anaglyph on the monitor. I also have the LG Passive 3D TV for better viewing. If you want to show it outside, can use one of those cheap 3D phone like PPTV King 7s. These are great for 6" size photos.
